Map Info[edit]

The latest edit has blurred the distinction between the different maps. I think it's worth indicating the maps that introduce the various regions because otherwise we're likely to get comments about people not being able to find a particular region. I don't know what the best way to do this will be, especially as I don't know what regions are planned in later maps. I don't like the way we (especially me - I'm not attacking anybody here) have done things so far, having a "Map 1/Map2" split because it's unwieldy and unfriendly. Perhaps simple superscripts after a region would work?

  • Some Region 1
  • Some Other Region 1, 2
  • etc

(the numbers would be links in real life). Another option might be sub-sub pages, but that's going to be adding another level of complexity to what is already a hideously complex set of templates. Thoughts? –RpehTCE 13:53, 26 February 2009 (EST)

Two things to keep in mind: the regions are not map-specific (the Boethian Mountains are found in both Map1 and Map2 for example), and eventually, down the road, the various maps will be merged together. (For development and maintenance, it's easier for us to keep them separate as long as they're not finished, but the plan is that at the end, the six maps and the "data" master will all be merged together.)
Further, Map2 relies on Map1 to work (there's a dependency on it), and the latest stand-alone version of Map1 suffers from a couple of subtle but serious bugs (such as the inability to join the Vvardenfell thieves guild due to a dialogue conflict) so people are advised to get the version that's bundled with Map2 instead.
In short, the "Map" distinction is arbitrary and temporary, so we'd rather them to stay blurry. --Gez 14:08, 26 February 2009 (EST)

Question[edit]

So, how exactly are they creating these new exteriors ? I tried doing something like this a while ago and was unable to create any thing except interiors. Is it handled the same way as Mournhold ?--TheAlbinoOrc 11:57, 12 May 2010 (UTC)

Ask here please. rpeh •TCE 12:09, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
